Hey guys, question for you. What would you do if eBay closed its doors or you lost your eBay account? What's your plan B? My name's Chris, aka Carboot Chris, and I'm a full-time UK online reseller. I operate mainly on eBay, but also on vintage and whatnot. I'm bringing a regular podcast all about reselling with a bit of fun thrown in too. Hopefully to keep you company to entertain you and maybe a little bit of education. Who knows? Welcome to the Everything Reselling Podcast. Hey everybody, welcome back. Welcome back to the show. It's Monday night. It's series nine of the podcast, the start of another 10 episodes. And I'm Carboot Chris. I'm a full-time reseller. Buy and sell stuff, flip it online for a profit, and that's what I do to make a living. A full-time living and average UK wage. That's me, that's what I do. So yeah. Here's our Monday night podcast. This goes out live on YouTube right now. If you're watching live, thank you very much for joining us. But also after uh we've finished here on the live, the audio will be going over onto Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Alexa, Deezer. That's another one, isn't it? Or whatever your favourite podcasting audio channel is, we'll be on it. We're on every single one. So feel free if you want to download the audios, listen to the audios, or it's just as good, if not better, coming here live on YouTube on a Monday night at 8 pm. Every single Monday night, apart from the one night off we have in between series, we have one week off. So feel free to come join us live on YouTube. Welcome to everybody here in the YouTube chat. I appreciate you all being here. You might notice that it's just me today. Belle's taking a pass, she's taking a rain check, just having a rest up, really. We've had a busy few days. I did last minute try to get some guests on, but it didn't really pan out. But the good thing is, hopefully, we've lined those guests up for a future show because ooh, live sale. Because in this series, we're going to be getting more guests on. So, what my aim is is to have one week with me and Belle, and then the next week me and a guest. So alternate it like that. One week, me and Belle, the next week, a guest. Just to mix it up a bit and to give Belle a bit more time off. And yeah, that's how hopefully we're gonna work it. But tonight it's just me. We kind of left it a little bit too late to get a guest on, really. It's probably too much to to uh ask at late notice, but hopefully in the coming weeks we'll have some more guests going on. So, anyway, let's say hello to as many people as we've got in the chat. Um, just to get our engagement going. We like to be engaged, that's what this is all about. Really, I mean, it's what my channel is all about is the engagement and the community, and sort of yeah, engaging with you guys to and fro, questions, chat. I like doing the lives. I'm gonna be doing more lives during the weeks and stuff, list alongs, work alongs. I really feel that that is where this channel lies is the engagement and the community. Um I don't really I don't really see the channel as like wholly like educational. It's more about it's more about the community. That's what I that's what I'm aiming for. Anyway, rambling. Let's move on. I'm gonna say hello to as many people in the chat as possible. We've got a minute on the timer. Hang on a second. Let's just get the music going, turn that off, turn that off. The one minute music, and here we go. Let's see, we've got we've got Angel Delight is in, welcome to you, Jamie D, Lin Lynn, Kevin Hawthorne, all the way from Florida. Thank you, Kevin, for joining us. Givalis, Karen Evans, Rosie Marsden, Mark Hill, Sharon Island, Dems Den. Welcome to you guys. Um, Fluffy the Muffin, Speedfoot, Deborah Sardine, Frey Andy Bentos, Jordi Reseller, Sandra Parker, see what you buy, uh, the swamp picker, uh, Johnny Forty Courts. You can't help but say it in that manner. Cloud9. Uh who else we got here? Come on, Richard Payne. Get your hellos in, guys. Come on. I'm nearly at the bottom here. Richard Payne, Alex's retro drip. Plan B. Plan A or Plan B? It's plan B. Uh so the alternating bell, then guest then guest is your plan B then. That didn't really make sense, plan B. I think I know who you are anyway. Trying to mix a bottle, aren't you? Helen Graham. Andrew Milburn and David Miller. David Miller is from Yorkshire. Welcome, David. Is that a new name? New name in the chat. Welcome if you are. If you're not, I apologize. I do forget things because I am very, very old. And there we go, we're at the bottom. So hope everyone's sales have been good, and hope nobody's been issued a ban on vintage because that's the the latest chart, isn't it? Everyone getting bans, everyone having their listings hidden. Yes, me too. Although, good news, this last few days, I've stopped using the white background. You know, the background remover tools that you can get. Well, I was using it through listing monster, but I've stopped using the background background removers, and now I just list with the natural background, whatever it is, my white background over here. Now I just list with that. And since I've started doing that, vintage has not hidden any of my items. They've all gone through and they've all been listed. You know when you get that dreaded checking in progress line on your on your listing, and you just think, oh, it's 50-50 now, whether I'm going to get that listed or not. So that's stopped happening now. So perhaps it's the editing of images that vintage is not liking, or their AI bots are not liking. So far, so good. Fingers crossed, I've not had further issues. I had more issues last week, and then I decided to stop doing the white background thing. And so far, so good. So if you're having that same problem, and you use a background remover or a picture editor in any way, like maybe you put a different colour picture, maybe you put a what do you call it, a lifestyle background on. You know, you can put like desks, put something on a desk with a plant next to it and all that stuff. If you do any of those editing of your photos, that could be why vintage bots are hiding your listings or giving you a warning about using original photos. Because so far, that's what I've found. I don't know for sure, but so far I've not had you know any of those use your own photo warning things. So yeah, it could be that. Now, a couple of bits of housekeeping to do before we get cracking with the chat tonight, and I want to say, of course, a big thank you to all our channel members, all our VIP members are very important members. All scrolling across the screen right now on the live. Thank you to everybody who's a VIP on the membership here on YouTube. It's $2.99 a month. And for that, you get access to our Discord group, our little community of resellers and non-resellers, and we have all different levels of chat in there, we have all different categories of chat, uh, you name it, we've got it, and we try and help each other out when as and when we need it. So if you want to come along, we also do some, we occasionally do some private work alongs in the Discord. We have video calls where we can private work along, we do that occasionally, and what else? You get early access to videos, you get especially emojis. But the main thing is, you know, come and join our Discord group, it's $2.99 a month. But thank you to everybody whose name is going across the screen, all our channel members. It's very, very much appreciated that you join us. Helps us carry on with the channel and do things and give stuff away, like we're going to be giving away today. We give stuff away every week on our duck race, so yeah, it helps us do all that, helps us fund it. A little bit goes a long way. So thank you, everybody. And something else I want to offer up to anyone. I think I've said it on a previous live. Listing Monster, this is not sponsored by Listing Monster. I've worked with Listing Monster, I still use Listing Monster myself. But Listing Monster have pulled together this handbook, and it's specifically for UK resellers. So they built it with UK resellers in mind, and it's got loads of sort of tips about sort of building a reselling business, workflows, tips on listing, how you can best use listing monster and how you can integrate that into your business. But ultimately, this is there's very little in here about actual listing monster, it's mostly a guide for people, and you might read through that and you might think, oh, you know, I only got one thing from it. And if you get one thing from it, that's great, it's better than nothing. But it's free. So if you'd like one of those, you can download it for free. I've only got three like physical copies. They sent me three. So I don't know, maybe I could give a couple away, but there's no point in me posting them because I can uh I can give you a download link. If you'd like to download one of these, I've got a quote in here from me as well somewhere. Let me see if I can find it. I'll read it out to you. It talks about death piles, it talks about sourcing and stock. Where's my quote? Oh, there you go. And quote is on page five. Look, my little quote in here. Carboot Chris, full-time reseller and youtuber. Resellers have different goals. Some want to grow a big business, others just want a good lifestyle and not to work all hours. Either way, having an having an efficient process helps you get there. And that is true. We don't all want to, you know, work our socks off and you know, basically replace a job with twice the amount of work. It's kind of not really what you want to do, is it? You know, you might as well go get a job. That's why kind of what I'm aiming at with that comment. But yeah. If you want one, I'll ping I'll ping a scan code on screen now. I've made one up before we started. Where's my little widget? Excuse me. I beg your pardon. There you go. If you scan that, if you scan that up here, up here, scan it with your phone, it'll take you to a website, fill your details in. They you can download that and read it. Maybe they'll even like if you ask them, you if you email them, they might even send you one in the post if you prefer a physical copy. But why are they doing it? Well, obviously, they want to put themselves out into the community, right? And it's a little bit of free advertising for them. And also, if you if you use my link up here to download the handbook, and subsequently, at some point in the future, you decide, you know what, I'm gonna give Listing Monster a go, then that referral comes back to me as a as a referral to listing monster. So it's a way of them sort of growing their their customer base, but also giving something free back. And it's taken them a while to put that together, like months. I'm talking to put that together. So have a go. If you take one thing from it, let me know in the comments. Okay, so there you go. That is it. Let's see where we're up to in the chat. That's my bit of housekeeping for today. Oh, by the way, I'll even put the link to the free reseller handbook in the podcast audio description. So, say, for example, you're listening to this right now on Spotify. If you go over to the description, there's loads of links in there. There's like my website, there's what else is there? My YouTube channel. Also, I'll put a link to the free reseller handbook in there as well. So you you guys can also get it if you're listening on the audio. Let's let's see where we're up to. SpeedFoot says, I've been reading through it, very good information, worth a free down. It's free, isn't it? It's not often like you actually get something that might be a little bit useful for free. I say what, for free? Are you sure? For free. Yep, exactly. Let's see. Richard Payne says, I prefer a natural background or my own white background. I found the focal photos can look strange after the background is removed with software. Yeah, I mean, if I guess if that's your preference, Richard, yeah, of course. I I've liked having the white background added because, like, from what I'm selling most of jerseys, right? You do a flat lay jersey, it looks great with the white background on. Takes away all the little shadows of the lights and stuff. So for me, it looks great, but I can appreciate if you're selling random odds and sods or electronics and stuff, it might not be quite as effective. Sometimes it's useful having the shadow of something sat on a desk, isn't it? You know, it gives it a bit of depth and stuff. All that nonsense. I don't know. But when you're doing a flat lay sort of piece of clothing, it definitely looks better with a white sort of clear background. Swamp Picker is in and out. So maybe we'll see you later, Swamp Picker. Thank you for joining us. Plan B said I need the complete idiot's guide to reselling. That one you've probably that one you have probably uses big words and I couldn't comprehend. I'll tell you what we can do. We can scribble on this. I won't actually because no, I won't. But we could we could we could do a little scribble here and we could go. The and then put an arrow there. Complete idiots reseller handbook. I'll do that just for you. Deborah Sardine, I've missed the last two weeks of live shows. I miss being in the chat. Glad to be home and here again. Oh, welcome back, Debs. Welcome back. Where did you go again? Can you remind me? You know I'm old. I told you that already. And everyone else, lots of people saying hello here. Uh Geordie Resell, has anyone see this new thing on eBay where a buyer buys an item, they get three hours more? Yeah, yeah. I think it's it's on private accounts, isn't it? Because Bell showed me a couple of weeks ago, and then someone else mentioned it in a live last week as well. So yeah, you get a few extra hours to buy more. It's a waste of time, isn't it? Really, I think personally, it's a bit of a waste of time. Especially like someone buys something at like seven in the morning, and normally you post at like half eight, they're going to miss the deadline, aren't they, for shipping, which is annoying, really. Uh, but it doesn't happen like that on business accounts, but it does happen also on eBay Live. When you sell stuff on eBay Live, it's not immediately available for package packing and shipping. I'm not sure if it's three hours on eBay Live, it feels like it's longer than that. Maybe four or five hours, but it's a few hours anyway, so it's the same thing. Oh, something I wanted to ask you guys, I don't know if you've noticed, right? There's a little tiny little thing, right? Have any of you noticed on your eBay seller dashboard when you have one of them little notifications that says questions? Is it unanswered questions in your messages? You used to be able to click on that, see a list of your unanswered questions, and then you could mark it and mark it as answered. Have you noticed that you now can't mark a question as answered? I just thought that was a bit annoying. It's gone that option now. So now it sits there with a number in the thing unless until you action it, which is pretty pretty annoying. Sorry, I'm just watching a couple of things on eBay, and that one's pinged up with 15 minutes left to go. Let me just make sure I don't want to bid on it. It's an Apple Watch. No, I think I'll leave it. I'll see what it sells for, that gives me an idea. Right, let's get back to the chat. Yeah, it it yes, Richard, it definitely works good for clothes. And Richard said 99% of my listings are hard goods. Yeah, I I can imagine it's not quite as good for hard goods, because you do lose you lose the depth and you lose the shadows and you lose like a bit of perspective, don't you, as well, because it takes all the all the background. So yeah. Yeah, it's it's kind of like what I just said, Mary Teresa, and how would it work for cut-off times? Yeah, it's annoying, isn't it? I don't know, and it's on private accounts as far as I'm aware. I've not seen it happen on business accounts at the moment. But it would cause a it would potentially cause a problem, but I guess maybe maybe the cut-off time will be once payment's made. It has to be, doesn't it? So if payment takes an extra three hours to be made, then once the payment's made, that's when your your cut-off point starts, isn't it? Debs said I didn't go anywhere. I just went up to see my sister in Staffordshire. Oh, I thought you went on holiday, Debs. Oh well. Well, at least it's a bit of timeout. I hope it all went okay. Uh Gilded Geezer. Gilded geezer's after another shout-out from Chat G. Whatever you can do or dream you can begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic. Was that boldness or boldness? Because if it's boldness, I'm getting there. I'll be there soon. Sometimes it does not yeah, sometimes it doesn't require an answer. It's bloody annoying. Used to be able to reset it. Let me go back and have a look now. I've still got a number one on one of mine, it's freaking annoying. I like all those things to be zero, you know, like with questions, open offers, and all that. I like them all to be zero, I like them all reset. I don't like having messages that are unread. I always read them all like in bulk. Yeah, I've still got one here with questions one. So you go, you click on it, right? There's me one, and it says view message. I don't want to view message, I've viewed it, I've answered it. Normally you can click on it on the three little dots, you can click on that, and normally you can say mark has answered, and that option has gone. It's been gone for about a week, maybe. That's how much I've I've noticed it, but it could have been gone longer, maybe I just didn't have any unanswered questions. But I've even answered that question now just for the sake of getting rid of that little number one. It annoys me stuff like that. I've probably got some disorder or something. Gilded geezer. I just had to wait 28 minutes while it counts down before I could dispatch. That's stupid, isn't it? Very annoying, yeah. Paul Hillman noticed it. Yeah, I noticed you can't mark something as answered. I had that uh on something sold, had to delete the list. Yeah, I I ended up deleting a whole message trail on one last week because I was sick of seeing that number one just hanging about. Last thing you want to see is a number one hanging about, and especially not a number two. You don't want one of them hanging about, do you? No point offering next day delivery. I guess it I guess it depends on all the cutoffs. It's it's a bit confusing, isn't it? Apple Watch Ultra 4 should be here next month. Yeah, I was looking at the Ultra 2 because the Ultra 2 is quite a big jump up from the Ultra 1, but also maybe not worth getting the Ultra 3. But if you're saying the Ultra 4 is coming out next month, it might be worth me waiting until the 4 comes out, and then maybe I can get the three. And the reason that I'm thinking about getting a new one and a we're we're we're all I'm we're talking at the moment in our household about less stuff and more stories on our other channel but my Apple Watch it's still you we still have to live and we still have to have stuff some stuff my Apple Watch is an Apple Watch four so I am I'm quite a number of years gone now so mine is due quite an upgrade I'm not really that arsed about upgrading my watch that much I think if I get an one of the ultras either the two or the three that'll keep me going for another 10 years that uh lol you're always bold bold you mean TJ Spencer69 anyone anyone who puts 69 in their in their name is is bold and Chris have you tried a new platform called Bid Bid Bidzy Bidsy it looks very similar to Vinted but much more relaxed I added the app sold something the same day but nothing since oh Bidzy never heard of it hang on a minute I might be telling a porky there I heard someone was it ReSeller George it might have been Reesella George on YouTube. I could be way off the mark here but I remember someone might have spoken about Bidsy let me have a look at Bidsy uh it's more relaxed a bit like Vinted but more relaxed but do they have customer service? Because if they don't I can't even be asked because I've had in I've I've just about had it up to here with Vinted at the moment oh here we go Bidsy it is a thing are you advertising for Bidsy by the way I don't mind if you do TJ Spencer69 are you part of Bidsy? If you are it's okay you can show yourself and you know if you want to if you want to sponsor the channel you can do it does kind of look a little bit like let me share the screen for you guys because and then you can see what I'm looking at I've I've even forgotten now uh that's that one innit share screen bidsy let's see if this works is that sharing yeah right okay bidsy give your pre-loved items a second life buy and sell pre-loved items across the UK fashion homeware toys tech accessories and more delivered to you do this isn't what's his name's thing is it remember the Irish fella Al Big Al this is not Big Al's thing is it because he was trying to start a new platform wasn't he for the UK only let's see what they've got okay let's let's test it Walking Dead I would do a little test with stuff like this because this is kind of thing I look for walking dead oh there is some Walking Dead stuff I was fully expecting nothing there we've got a couple of graphic novels a sign and a t-shirt what else can we do NFL jersey see if there's any of those on here's a few NFL jerseys okay okay let's go back to home trending kids' clothing is trending apparently so it says how it works list your items snap a photo set your price and publish in minutes buy a page securely print a label post it and money gets released to your wallet once it's delivered I might have a look at this I'm gonna leave that page open okay and I might have a look at that and see what it's all about but yeah TJ if you're part of Bidsy then feel free to say so and uh it's okay I don't mind looking at new stuff like that especially when it's reseller related marriage to reselling buyer buys an item thinking it's being dispatched the same day and arriving on a specific day then the stupid system sets all back a day but yeah unless the system knows there's going to be that delay and then accounts for the delay in its you know in its projected arrival date but it's for me it's a bit stupid I'd love to know like what the real reason is for eBay to implement that because how many times do you have a problem where someone wants to combine something you just sort it out don't you you just sort it out and you combine the shipping you send it in the same parcel or you know you knock them a bit off the next shipping or something you know it's not really difficult to deal with sorry just having a brute Chris Tyler sorry I'm late internet went down no problem no I've not used it TJ not used it I've I think I might have heard Reese Allah George speak about it possibly or it could have been someone else if I'm wrong. Speed foot flip says I just use a thumbs up emoji to get rid I've answered that question right and it still says one on that bloody thing I know I know Apple Watch 4 is ancient I know I know to be fair though right the thing is it still works okay and so that for that reason I'm kind of like do I need do I need one and sometimes I don't even put it on but I feel like maybe I need to sort of get get into 2026 with these watches now I've had that one quite a long time now. Don't even know when Apple Watch 4 came out it must have been in the teens you know in in the late late teens uh show Hughes welcome to you oh it was in one of it was in reseller George's videos yeah I do watch as many people as I can that like watching anyway Mr. Crummy says Xbox series consoles getting a price increase Series X going up 160 pounds a six year old console that costs more than when it launched oh okay didn't know that so that is this going to affect the resale prices I guess is the question for everyone it's not often I pick up consoles but Secret Carper says yes it was George oh here we go travel through history late joining it's Scott on a new channel oh okay travel through history if anyone if you want to put your link in or if anyone wants to share share Scott's channel then feel free to share his channel in the chat miss seeing you at Chester Rugby Club was car good car boot got loads only two left yeah I'll probably get to another one soon we we were out and about filming the next video for our new channel doing some stuff on Sunday so we had a nice day out if you can call it that when you see what the video is about you'll understand what I mean by that advertising oh no problem B said I searched for Bidsy in the US app store and vintage pops up obviously it does say UK on it on UK only on that so at the moment they're just UK by the looks of it Lisa said not heard anything from Big Al for ages. Has he put any videos out recently Lisa I don't I don't recall seeing any videos from Big Al since you know he kind of all it all went tits up on eBay with his eBay stores and then he was doing like car boots selling stuff off and then he he was kind of going on a bit of a rant saying that he was going to start his own his own platform and then as far as I'm concerned it's gone quiet since then but maybe YouTube's algorithm is not feeding me his videos I'm not sure I don't recall seeing any any videos from big alch was released along with the iPhone XS in 2018 yeah my watch is now eight years old and you know what it's pretty impressive that that's still going I mean Apple Watch 4 is still okay it still connects to my phone it still does well it still tells the time and it still pings every five minutes when there's a notification that's about all it does really I don't really use it for anything else so I'm guessing the one of the ultras will be a big upgrade Ricky says I can't wait for the new video got some stock to give you if you're wanting it brand new and some solid used games you have to send me a message Ricky Lisa said I think he's done some videos but not seeing any about the new platform I need to log back into to Big Owl's channel maybe I'm not subbed maybe that's why you know like if you stop watching someone you're not subbed they slowly disappear from your like your feed at completely there's some resellers that you know I just don't watch at all and they just never appear in my feed now so I'll I'll log back into him because I actually did quite like Big Al's videos and I kind of like what he was trying to do. He's doing whatnot is he oh interesting they do stop updating the watches mine must be close to stopping being updated mustn't it? No I've done it on desktop secret carpet I've answered it on desktop and it just won't disappear now it's absolutely stuck on that number one last I heard big al fired all his staff and must continue as a one man show was that due to that was due to his eBay going down wasn't it big Al's doing an Irish mint still puts out vids right I need to look up big al because some I mustn't be subbed plan B says carboot Chris is a YouTube creator not what and both unfortunately it's a curse Johnny Forticourt says Bidzy is run by a chap in Luton so not Big Al. Okay. To be fair I wouldn't have expected Big Al to have got a platform up and running in that short amount of time I imagine it'd take quite a while to get one up and running if at all to be honest with you right before we carry on I'm gonna take that down for a bit that free reseller handbook scan code so if you've not scanned it yet scan it now come on get your phone out and get a free reseller handbook have a read you might only take one thing from it if you only take one thing from it just go up to the screen get your camera on it scan it I don't need to tell you how to do it we're all scanning codes now don't we? I'm gonna take that down because right I I need to ask you all a favor. I don't very often ask you these favours because normally it's me telling people to sub other channels like I just said travel through history you know pop your channel in there anytime someone says can I share my channel I always say share my share the channel go and sub well today I'm gonna I'm gonna share my own channel whoops a daisy press the wrong button I'm gonna share my own channel our second channel which has just been launched at the weekend it's up here now in the corner you can scan it and go and sub please go and sub we're currently on 57 subs since well we did have a few subs before we actually launched thanks to you guys who watch the channel but I'm gonna go now live to the channel we had 57 I want is it beyond the realms of possibility to get our second channel the Living Bucket list it's me and Belle going and doing really exciting stuff we've got another video out on Wednesday and then we'll hopefully have another video out of the weekend is it beyond the realms of possibility to ask to try and get us to a hundred subs before this show is over I don't think it's probably possible that's quite a lot isn't it we're on 57 before before tonight's live started we're currently on 61 so we have increased a little bit so come on get scanning go over here scan it with your phone it should take you straight to a sub screen you can just hit subscribe hit the bell as well if you really want but the main thing is get subscribed because we've got some really good I'm really putting a lot of effort into it me and Belle. You know Belle doesn't particularly enjoy doing the camera stuff but really when she gets down to it she is a natural and we've got a video coming out on Wednesday which is probably an unusual bucket list thing or place to go to for a bucket list. I'm not going to give away any more than that other than you might want to and it's not that kind of video but you might want to get your tissues handy and also give if you've got a little doggy a little cat give them a hug before you watch the video or give them a hug anyway a hug anyway you should be able to scan it let me uh let me test that because someone's just said they can't scan it photo you have to go on photo not video make sure you're on photo YouTube yep comes up with my channel there there it is the living bucket list comes straight up with the channel there and can we get to a hundred probably not 75 oh what absolute legends we could make a hundred here I'm gonna leave that on the screen right I'm not gonna keep talking about it but thank you to everyone who has subbed another video out on Wednesday code geordi it does work I've just tested it uh hi Steve o Steve oh have you subbed to our second channel can you put link in the chat yes I can where can I find on here share copy link here we go just in case you you can't scan or you've still got a Nokia 3210 there's the link if we can get to a hundred I'll be absolutely made up before today's show's over I've been made up you know what you know what I've forgotten I've forgotten like when you start a new channel how hard it is to get going it is hard it is tough to get people to get your videos watched to get YouTube to suggest them in the feed it's very dirty it's so hard so yeah give us some encouragement and we'll we'll monitor that it'd be nice to get to 100 but let's see what else we got in there oh thank you guys thank you everyone for subbing 81 now brilliant uh tap pedlar says uh I dislike pure white backgrounds too a bit of shadow even if artificial is better than fully white reminds me to replace my white background it's getting dirty yeah yeah fair enough but you're also in the same boat aren't you Derek uh you know you're uh you're not really a clothing seller either but yeah I think you're right for stuff that's not clothing it does look better. Well keep us updated on the numbers so that I can carry on with the show. 86 now. If you're listening guys if you're listening on Spotify Apple Music please find our new YouTube channel the Living Bucket List I'll put a link in the description of the podcast and that's it I'm not saying anything else now that's it I've done enough plugging on that we're gonna crack on with the show now if you're watching on your phone you can't scan it that's a that's a very good point. Oh Kelly I saw your comment I saw your comment thank you very much do it you know have a go it's always worth a try you never know what might come of it and if nothing else you've got a place to to save all your memories and you can look back and watch them because like on this channel here and I promise I won't keep talking about it Macaboot Chris channel does have some of our personal videos you know further back you know now and again when we've done something interesting I made a video on it and you know what I don't really watch back 99% of my reselling videos you know it's just another reselling video at the end of the day but I do watch back all that other stuff the stuff where we've gone on travels adventures made memories you know done something interesting been somewhere done an event I do watch those back so that got me thinking we need a new home for all these videos and I love making those videos as well honest to god I love making them they're so much more fun to make than you know sitting down and talking about vintage again you know obviously we're still going with with our reselling channel but we wanted a home for that we wanted to do something together curiousHQ welcome to you quacktastic don't forget as well you can sub to this is Peter Ray's sort of vlog in channel so feel free to to give a sub have a look for Quacktastic we're sort of supporting everybody's channels today right so we've done thank you to members we've done listing monster manual we've talked about more guests on the show and we've talked about the living bucket list so that leaves us with the big question that I posed at the start of the show and that is what would you do not just if eBay closed but if you lost your eBay account what is your plan B where do you go from here now this requires a lot of interaction from you guys otherwise it goes dead pretty quick because I'm going to tell you what my plan B would likely to be I made some notes just give me a sec you know there's obvious plan Bs and there's potentially you know thinking outside of the box plan B's so God forbid and I don't ever want to lose my eBay account right and I very much doubt that eBay will ever shut down in the near to middle future anyway you know they're going to be the best reselling site for a few years at least and you know long may it continue because eBay is you know it is a good site when you compare to you know like vintage non-existent customer service sometimes you thank God that actually eBay is your number one and I know for some people vintage is number one and that's absolutely fine but I'm not sure right now that I would want I would want vintage to be my number one site because I would be scared to death of something happening to that account so anyway what's my plan B if eBay were to go obviously you'd have to go more into vintage you'd have to trust them a bit more but there's I still wouldn't trust them 100% I still wouldn't trust them I've already done my own website before it didn't really work for me but that is something that you know maybe I could consider it costs a lot of money and it is not as easy as what you think to just bang your products on your own website. It costs you much more to do that than pay eBay's fees for example you're better off just paying eBay's fees but it it has to be up there as an option doesn't it live selling now live selling If you lost your eBay account or eBay shut, well, obviously there'd be no eBay live, but there is live selling elsewhere. Of course, you've got whatnot, still got my whatnot account, and the TikTok shop. I get messages from TikTok customer services, probably weekly at the moment, saying you can come and sell on TikTok. We'll give you whatever deal to sell on there, no fees or whatever. I can't even remember. I've had so many different emails from them. I'm resisting at the moment. I don't really, I just don't know if I can take the headspace of TikTok as well. But if you lose eBay, you lose a your biggest chunk of income. I think most of us lose our big biggest chunk of income. So you'd have to start considering live selling more than what you currently do if it's nothing especially. But the problem with live selling is obviously things generally go cheaper or considerably cheaper than what it is if you take the time to list something on a platform like eBay. So you've got to have the infrastructure to do live selling on a regular basis. You've got to have the sources and the stock cheap enough to be able to do it, the regular stock as well. And you've got to be willing to sell more at potentially a slightly lower price than what you would normally sell. It's a completely different model of selling. So you've got to be prepared to adapt and change in order to go into the live selling market. So, but there is that. There's live selling and it's getting bigger and bigger. Some people seem to think that live selling is going to be a flash in the pan. I don't think it is. TikTok's growing massive. TikTok's probably big, TikTok's shop is probably bigger than Whatnot and eBay Live put together. It is huge. I don't really know why I'm resisting to go on there. I'm just not a fan of TikTok. At some point, might have to go on there. So I've also got Whatnot. I've said about Whatnot, still got my Whatnot account. I can go back there. Obviously, you know, you have to change the way you work to do live selling on a regular basis, in my opinion. Facebook Marketplace is one that you could dip back into. And interestingly enough, and I will get back to all your comments. Let me get through my plan B first, and then I'll come back to you guys. So just keep going. Facebook Marketplace. Have you seen the latest in the US? Facebook Marketplace have brought out a seller app where it pulls all your Facebook Marketplace stuff together. You can list on the app, you can sell on there, you get all your messages on there in one place. It looks very, very interesting. It still doesn't stop Facebook Marketplace being the nightmare that it is known for. It doesn't negate any of that. However, it's definitely a step in the right direction, and it looks like a very interesting sort of movement from Facebook. And remember, Facebook is huge. You know, meta, the meta universe is huge. So what they could potentially do with that is very interesting. Amazon as well. Of course, you know, if we can lean into replenishables, brand new stock, wholesale, replenishables and repeatables, if you can lean into that, I think I think this one would be my best bet if Amazon decided to it was gone. Sorry, if eBay had gone. I think I would probably lean into Amazon and try and get more into replenishables and repeatables through there. Because that's what currently I'm trying to do right now, anyway. So that's probably the direction I'd go in. And then, of course, you've got in-person selling, high street shop, possibly. Not sure I'd want to go back into it, but you have to think about it. Boot sales markets, you can sell your stock in person, potentially get considerably less for your stock value. And then social selling, Instagram, places like that, not really that effective just selling on Instagram unless you're doing Instagram lives and stuff, where potentially you could send people to your website, I guess, or something like that. But yeah, that's kind of where I would be. And also, you have to consider that I create content. So if eBay was to go or I didn't have an account anymore, potentially could I, you know, lean more into content creation and try and sort of move in that direction as well. That that those would kind of be my plan B's. Obviously, my first port of call would be to look at the other platforms and see what I could do. Live selling and vintage. And secondly, Amazon Repeatables Replenishables is definitely somewhere that I would try and grow into. So yeah, and then of course, content creation doing more stuff, even more affiliate stuff, you know, affiliate stuff like on TikTok and things. You know, you get paid for every link you share and stuff like that. Anyway, let's come back to you guys because I want to see how you someone give me an update on on the the channel. If we managed to hit 100, it'd be amazing if we did. Let's see. I mean, there is a there is one obvious thing that I didn't mention for all out that, by the way, and that's to go get a job. Silence. It it would definitely be a thought, wouldn't it? I I think I'd I would try everything else first, and if it if I still failed to replace that eBay income, I'd probably have to go get a job, wouldn't I? Or think of another business, do another business. I don't know what though. You can't just come up with a business like that, can you? It's not hard, it's not easy. It's a hard thing to do. Uh let's see where are we up to? Lisa said Lisa said she would be mortified as you can't rely on vintage. Oh Lisa, you're absolutely right there, you can't rely on vintage. I do I would I really worry for for the people who have vinted as their main platform. I think it's fantastic that they've managed to build a vintage page to that level where it's your main income earner. But I I s it gives me anxiety just thinking about having vinted as my main platform. It makes me anxious. I'm like, I don't think I could rest easy at any point. Like every time I list something, even now, like every time I cross-list, I'm waiting for a ban of some kind, even though I'm not doing anything wrong. It's the bots, uh they're just nuts, aren't they? Cheryl's had a look at the new channel. Thank you very much, Cheryl. I appreciate the the feedback and the comments. Uh Speedfoot said I would have to do car boots straight away for cash and then panic. Cash flow, yeah. You've got to keep that cash flow moving, haven't you? House of Dolly says I do so much better on vintage, eBay isn't the best for me. That's great though, House of Dolly, but do you not worry? Right. I I don't want to put worry into your mind, but do you not worry about all these bans and listing listings getting hidden and you know AI, vintage AI, the lack of customer service. I mean, I'm doing at the moment, I'm my 30-day running total on vintage. Let me just check. You can check I'm I'm using Relo right now, by the way. Free plug for Relo. Relo is a cross-listing app. It also you can manage your inventory in there, you can search for stuff on your vintage page that you can't do on Vintage, you can repost stuff, you can do all sorts of stuff. Look at analytics. I'm using that at the moment, it's bloody brilliant, to be honest with you. It's the best one that I've used. I've used Celerator, I've used CrossList, I've used Zip Sale, blows them all out of the water. And that's not even a paid plug, it's an honest review of this thing. Uh Relo, it's called Brilliant. And what I can say now, I've got a dashboard on there, and it tells me all kinds of stats about my vintage account, and it keeps a running total of things. Just waiting for just had to log in, so just give me a sec. So my last 30 days on vintage is £1,046, and I've got £1,144 currently active listings on there, and I've made 37 orders in the last 30 days. My average order value on vintage is very similar to my eBay, it's somewhere between £20-30 per item, which is quite high for vintage, really. But I just sell the same stuff as I do on eBay. But yeah, I roughly do about £1,000 a month on vintage. Where's my stream yard go? I roughly roughly do about a thousand pounds on vintage every month, and that's really quite good for me as a second platform. eBay is my biggest earner what in a year, you know. I can do I can't remember what I did last year on Vinted on eBay, but I'm doing even more this year on eBay because of eBay Live. So I would expect this year my eBay to be it might be 60 to it might be 60-ish, 60k, 65k this year on just on eBay alone. And then I expect vintage to be around 10 to 15k, something like that. So then we start getting quite close to the VAT. So if for you, House of Dolly, if it's doing great for you, that's amazing. But I do get worried, I get anxious for people about vintage. I really do. I hope absolutely enough. I hope it continues for you. I really do. I would be back working as a chef, but I hate the hours. Oh a chef is quite a stressful job, isn't it? Hi David Reese. David M, welcome. Sandra said she'd get a part-time job. Angel Delight said we've got 98 subs on the new channel. That's brilliant. Thank you, everyone. We're actually going to hit the hundred, aren't we? Thank you so much, everyone, for subbing. Right, once tonight's over, please don't unsub us. At least give us a few videos before you decide if you want to go or not. Uh Jeff, welcome, Jeff. If I lost my eBay account, I'd commence an exhaustive search for it. If it was just here, it couldn't have gone far. Oh, it's not as easy as that, Jeff. Come on, you know that. When it's gone, it's gone. Uh let's see what else. What else we've got in the chat here. Uh just scrolling through. 99 99 subs on the new channel says 101 shed reseller. Thank you, 101, for the update. Johnny40 Court says I sell books. My plan B is to move over to what the heck is that? ZVAB. ZVAB. Z V A B. Their fees are slightly cheaper than eBay and no photography because it's all stock images. Ah, okay. I I've not I've never heard of that. ZVAB. Let me have a look, let me have a quick look at that. I don't really do books, so it's not really relevant for me, but let me just have a look at it. ZV. Is it German? Is it a German website? It's all in German, my end. Hmm. Tell us more about that, Johnny. 101 says there's 101. Woohoo! Oh, thank you everyone for subbing. That is awesome. Let's let's give it one of these. Let's give it a uh what should we do?
SPEAKER_02To celebrate this is my island in this land.
SPEAKER_00Oh, thank you all for subbing. I really do appreciate it. Uh Richard Payne says I would probably do boot sales, buy a van and then buy pallets, and then do that a few times a week. Yeah, I think that's actually a pretty good option, isn't it? That's a pretty good one. Buy stock cheap, sell it all at a boot sale, you don't have to post anything. There is something to be said for that, definitely. That's a good that's a good shout, that mic drop. No to a job, says Richard. Emsden says our plan B would be to sell at Emporiums and maybe flea markets and car boot sales. Yeah. Emsden's growing emporium empire. Good idea. Mary Theresa selling if eBay closed tomorrow, I'd 100 I'd put 100% into Amazon, more customers and a higher sales velocity. Yeah, I think that would be up there for me. Richard said I've done a few boot sales in last month, and the stuff flies out even if it's cheap enough. Gotta sell it cheap, though, aren't you? Gotta get it cheap to sell it cheap. Fluffy the muffin says everyone's going to have stress dreams tonight. 104 subs on the new channel. That is awesome. Thank you, Angel Delight, for that update. I'm gonna go have a look now myself. Because that is amazing. Thank you all very, very much. Without you, we would be floundering right now. Why is it not updating it? Silly thing. It's not giving me an update. I'll have to shut that down and then opening it up again. 106! Oh, thank you so much, guys and girls. Thank you very much. Wait until you see Wednesday's video. It's a very, very odd bucket list place to go. House of Dolly. I worry when when I get banned. I get banned at least once a month. Wow! House of Dolly! This is your main account, and you've been banned at least once a month, but my daughter lets me use her account. Oh no. I'm so worried for you right now. I really am. That is a night. That's like my worst nightmare. It really is. Oh, I hope I hope you hope it doesn't carry on like that. Tap pedlat, I would put all my efforts into other platforms. If that failed, it would be selling at boots and auctions, last resort back to coding as a freelance. Fair enough, Derek. Yeah, fair enough. We could all transfer all our listings to what's the platform called? I can't believe it's not eBuy E-Buy Gum. We could all transfer our listings to eBuy Gum and suddenly. Can you imagine? Everyone transfers to e-BuyGum. We all put like thousands of listings on there. What's his name? The guy that runs e-BuyGum like literally has a heart attack because he's suddenly getting all these people signing up to uh for accounts. Cloud9 says, uh I'm still a midwife one night a week, so would have to up my baby catching hours. Oh god. I'm still a midwife one night. How can you how can you how does that work? Midnight a midwife one night a week. Just like just like on bank or something. Like just turn up at hospital now and again and say, Oh, I can I can do some babies tonight if you like. How does that work? I don't understand. You're just like a part-time midwife, is that what it is? Tap pedlar, possibly a handyman business, maybe to bring in extra funds. The only thing I'd say about that, Derek, is I've seen your handiwork on roofs, and I've seen how that roof nearly fell on your head. So I would be quite concerned about employing you as a handyman. Let's see what else we got. Chris Tyler says, Chris, have you heard of SoftPoz? It's an app that turns your mobile into a contactless card reader, perfect for car boots. There's quite a few like that, Chris, as well. There's one that keeps coming up on social media called, is it flat something? There's loads like that, Chris, that you can just scan and you know, take card payments. I if I did, I've not seen Rachel Rachel Fantastic, I've not seen her take card payments. I wonder why she doesn't. Because I'd I think if I was a regular booter, I I would just have one of those apps and I would just take contactless payments as well. Definitely would. But I've not seen Rachel do it yet. It'd be a good selling point, wouldn't it, to say that you know, if you if you're not got the right change or you know, you want to buy something big or you've run out of money, you know, I can take card payments. Uh CuriousHQ says, I hope it doesn't fail. I'm just starting out. We're just talking theoretically, don't worry, Curious, it's fine. It's gonna be okay. Richard said I'd sell my death pile to the tap peddler. He probably you'd probably you'd probably want it for next to nothing though, wouldn't he? The car boots are okay as long as it doesn't rain. That is true. Unless you've got an indoor one or in like a car park. Jeff says, has anyone heard from Super Dave ABL? He's still putting videos out, Jeff. He's still got videos coming out. Yeah, it would probably break, says Lisa. You're referring to e-ByGum. Yeah, it probably would break if everyone suddenly went over there. Let's all put together, says Cheryl, and start our own well, our own platform. Don't think it's as easy as that, is it? Yeah, good idea. We could sort of crowdfund it, couldn't we? Tat Peddler said he would avoid roofs. Agent 224810. Carboot Chris, you and the two Payne brothers could always consider becoming gigalos. There's good money in that, so I've heard. Yeah, why not? Only fans? Start selling pictures of my feet? That'd be an option, wouldn't it? Good money. Cloud9 says, I just have a part-time contract for eleven and a half hours and can top it up by booking bank shifts if needed. I often do a night shift and then drive straight to the car boot. Ah, I get ya. Right, I get ya. Oh, interesting. That's good. Yeah. While she're up, you might as well stop at car boot on your way back. Vinyl Nutter says, when I did it full time, I did eBay and market and ran record fares. Never put all your eggs in one basket. Exactly, yeah. I really do believe that. Multiple incomes, multiple income streams. Try and have, even if some of them are very small, at least have multiples. Definitely. Well, that was an interesting chat. Now, fingers crossed, everything's okay with eBay, and we don't get in trouble with our accounts. So fingers crossed, it doesn't happen, but it's always interesting to have something, you know, like bubbling away, new ideas or new plans to make, different direction to go in, maybe. Always be open to that because you never know what might come knocking, what might knock on the door, what opportunities may arrive. Always good to have another plan. Jeff says, How long ago did you leave your normal job? That would be very hard to return to. Yeah, it would, Jeff. I left in 2019 to go full-time. So seven years ago, seven years I've been I've been a full-time reseller. And for some of those last couple years or so, I was part time as well. So I dropped some time my normal job. So I wasn't doing completely full time, I was doing like 30 hours instead of instead of 37 and a half. So I kind of dropped a day. So yeah, it would be hard to go back to it for sure. I don't know if I could now, to be honest with you. I feel Like, and I've said this before, I feel like what's the opposite of institutionalized? I feel like the opposite of that is like because I'm out of the institutions, I'm kind of I'm not able to go back into that world again. I mean, if I had to, I I would, but I'm not sure I would. I'm not sure I would last, you know what I mean. Now talking about eBay, I've got an eBay live lined up for this week. And it is gonna be a clothing show. I've not done a clothing show for ages, but I've got a mixed bag of clothing. I've got men's, women's, I've got sportswear, I've got some vintage clothing, some interesting pieces, all kinds of clothing, all different things, random, random, random. And a lot of it has never even been listed on my eBay, it's come out of the death pile, and I'm putting it straight on eBay Live. So if you want, there's another scan code, this is the third one of the show. This scan code will take you over to my eBay live shows. And if you want to join us on Wednesday evening, I think it's seven o'clock. If you fancy joining us for eBay live for a couple of hours, uh seeing if you can snag a bargain at all. We're gonna have one pound starts, some absolute bargains going. If you fancy joining us, go and take a look at that link and you can save the show. There's one show there that's coming up, the let this the latest one there on that page. So, yeah, we're gonna do clothing this week because I've got a bit of a stock of clothing to come straight on to eBay live. Jeff says 40 hours at a at a job, casual employee. Clothing eBay live show. Have Belle model the clothes, you can thank me later. Yeah, it's probably a good idea that Jeff. Profit pile, not death pile. I still call it. It's always a death pile to me. Free, says Kelly. Free? It's not free. It's probably gonna be very cheap or close to free. But it's not free. I think I've covered everything now. We've got the duck race to do before we finish. Yep, there's a scan codes up there for eBay. If you want to scan it, you'll see the latest show that's listed there. It's got all my old show, it might have all my old shows on there. I don't know, actually. I'm gonna scan it and see what it takes me. Here we go, let's try it. Stop pinging me, whoever's pinging me. eBay. Oh, it's just got the one show on there. It used to show all your old shows. Can you see there? It's just got one show now. So when you s when you see that on there, you just click the heart and it saves it, and you'll get notified when I go live just in case you forget. Oh, we've had a sale as well. Adidas Oklahoma City Thunder Jersey. Another jersey? Two sold today. I think that's the only things I've sold today, two jerseys. It's been a quiet one on eBay today. Right. Who's ready for the duck race? Who is ready for the duck race? Let me change that widget. I'm gonna put me I'm gonna put the bucket list page back up just in case anyone missed it. Oh, I tell you what we haven't done, just before we start the duck race just before we start the duck race, do you want ChatGPT's duck pond bulletin from the last show about two weeks ago? Who wants the duck pond bulletin? Now I don't ask ChatGPT to do this, but when I ask him to him, when I ask them to generate the duck race entrance from the last comments, it gives me a bulletin about like what people were commenting, gives like a roundup. So the duck pond bulletin is this Carboot Keith is the reigning champion after finally winning Duck Race 217, after months of ducks and still not won yet. Perseverance finally paid off. There were emotional scenes in the pond. The Living Bucket List launched launch generated a lot of love. Several regulars, including Vicky Has It All and Sammy Valentino, said they were already subbed. Morris Minicat drew threw down the challenge by requesting the winning duck specifically. Confidence levels dangerously high. The bolo debates continue. The general feeling from viewers was that bolos haven't disappeared, they've just become more niche and are often kept secret. Retro Sheller probably summed it up best by saying people often share them for clout. Only for everyone to undercut each other until they are worthless. Jamie D has already predicted your future YouTube empire, carboot Chris, the living bucket list, and a possible home renovation channel, with Emsden demanding royalties. Steve O'Brano wins Nostalgia Award for still owning his flat Eric Plush instead of selling it years ago. And Flipping L asked a question that stopped the nation. Bell said, Who is Ray Winston? You've got to be there to know what that's about. The Gilded Geezer once again supplied the official West Sussex weather report proving that no Monday is complete without temperature, sunshine, and a philosophical inspiration. And the duck race stats were current champion carboot keith, race number 217, favourite duck request this week, a standard duck, although Alknas requested a Jacobs Cream Quacker, which deserves recognition. And the sum-up from the duck pond bulletin was the pond remains peaceful until Monday, when around 200 highly competitive rubber ducks discover that they're actually Formula One drivers. Well, I kind of argue with 200, maybe sort of 40 at best. Once upon a time we we we were getting close to 80 ducks. Now we're on we're sitting on around 40 now. Anyway, guys, that's it from the that's it from the duck pond bulletin. So let's just get on with the duck race now. Because that was that was a long bulletin, wasn't it? That was a bit too long that right, two minutes on the clock. You see, we've only got 37 ducks in the race today. That was probably because we didn't have a show last week, everyone's forgotten to go comment. Alright, we're all sharing okay. Chris and Bell photos on eBay live. This will be the 218th duck race. Do you have ChatGPT responding to YouTube comments? No, I don't know. I got the commentator's curse. You said I had no chance, and then my duck did a Usain bolt, said carboot keith. Right, here we go. The 218th duck race is about to commence. It's anyone's game, and they're off. The ducks are off, they've made a fast-paced start, they're out of the traps very, very quickly. With is that Simon Elliott just taking the lead there with the punk duck? Soft sell also up there as well. That looks like a new duck outfit. That one, I don't remember seeing that one before. Jeff Davis is there with Panda Duck this week. Uh, we can see Kavallis and Chris Tyler up there as well. Dorothy Watkinson with the pink duck, and Morris Minicat as well, who got a mention in the duck race, in the duck race bulletin, duck pond bulletin is also there. Carbu Chris is up there as Bat Duck. Sorry guys, I forgot that my duck was in there. Linlynn Jeffries is there, Sarah Mars and Angel Delight all up front there, very, very close. Tightly packed crew at the front there. Sarah B, also nothing major coming forth. And towards the back of the pack, it looks like Dorothy Watkinson's dropping out at this point. Absolutely knackered. Doesn't seem to be able to continue much there now. DJ Me is there towards the back, got no chance. Retro Sheller as well as Spider Duck. Doesn't look like Retro Sheller's going to do anything. Steve O'Brano's done in basically, not even making any kind of effort. Let's go back towards the front. That's the uh important bit at the end of the day, isn't it? Vinyl Nutter and Titch is currently leading with a naked duck. We've got Soft Sell is still up there. Chris Tyler's there as well. Jamie D up up there with a naked duck. We all know about naked ducks. Link, naked ducks have the best chance of winning. Morris Mimi Cat's there as well with a naked duck. Nothing major with a top hat AMPR. Jeff Davis, we've got 15 seconds on the clock as of now. Titch leads with a naked duck with 10 seconds to go. It's going to be an easy win for Tich. Titch is winning this, hands down. Hang on a second. Titch has dropped out. Titch has fallen at the final herding hurdle, and someone's come out of nowhere. We thought it was retro shallow with kind of what we've got. Karen Evans wins. And Karen Evans came out of the middle of the pack there. We didn't have a clue that she was even in the race, and she's only gone and won it. Karen Evans is the winner. Well done to Karen Evans. That's all I can say. What a win. Just if you're watching Karen Evans, send me a message, eBay or Instagram, send me a message. Or you can email me. My email address is below, carboot Chris email address. And claim your prize. Today's prize is the much coveted mini mockies sweets. These are my favourite ever sweets. They are amazing. Tempted to say they're even better than fried eggs, but maybe fried eggs are better. But these mini mockies are very nice and they're coming your way. And I picked this up at a jumble trail at the weekend. You'll see the video at next weekend. But I found this Nao duck. Probably worth a few quids. But I found this Neo duck, and that is going to come your way as well, Karen Evans. You've got a lovely little duck. Put it on your mantelpiece, on your fireplace. And every time you look at that duck, you can just think about carboot Chris. That is yours. An amazing prize. Let's see. Let's go back to the chat before we finish up with Chris's final thought. What time are we on? One hour 20 minutes? We're doing okay. Panda duck, yes. Chris's bat duck. Oh, Jeff says just random characters to throw chat GPT off, comma, comma, period. Oh, right, okay. You're just giving random characters. Okay, fair enough. Is Karen Evans in? Have we seen Karen? Uh vinyl nutter's never seen his duck at the front. Or their duck, sorry. Jeff says Karen Evans' second duck race victory, having previously won race number 201 in March earlier this year. Ooh, and quite recently won, didn't they? Karen won recently. Okay, guys. Well, we are pretty much done. All that's left really now is to do Chris's final thought. Oh, there's Karen. There you go. Well done. Big thumbs up to Karen Evans. Brilliant job. Karen, because you won the duck race, you do have to go sub to our new channel. So that is one of the rules now. Every duck race winner must be subbed to the channel in order to get their prize. And so if you don't sub, you don't get my special duck. You can call that duck Chris if you like, just in memory of carboot Chris. In memory of Big Tony's popped in. Welcome to Big Tony. And we let me get the outro ready to go. Okay. So Chris's final thought. It's easy to think our business belongs to eBay because that's where we make most of our sales. But the truth is, eBay is just one of the tools. Platforms come and go, and rules change and algorithms change. But the knowledge you've built and the relationships you've made and the reputation you've earned earned are yours. So don't build a business that depends on one platform. Build one that can adapt because the businesses that survive aren't always the biggest, they're the ones that are ready to take on the challenge of a change. Take care of yourselves and each other, and we'll see you on the next one. Bye. That's it for today's episode. Don't forget to like or make a comment. I always reply to comments. And if you're on YouTube, hit the subscribe button. If you're on one of the audio channels, hit the download button, and we'll see you next time.
